Summary:
In collaboration with Children's Health System of Texas (CHST) Quality senior leadership, is responsible for overseeing quality assurance/quality improvement programming across the CHST network. Accountable for infusing quality improvement methodology throughout the quality program including ensuring the implementation of evidence based practice and adherence to regulatory standards. Is responsible for the accurate capture, tracking, reporting, and analysis of quality program related data. Provides healthcare quality guidance and expertise to senior leadership throughout CHST to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Promotes a continuous improvement culture and leads the design/evolution of system-level processes to support the delivery of quality care.

Responsibilities:
* Assumes leadership for one or more quality programs at the CHST system level. Embeds QI methodology and continuous improvement into the program(s) to improve quality outcomes.
* Analyzes quality process and outcome data for emerging trends to make meaningful changes that result in improved patient outcomes.
* Actively supports and coaches quality improvement methodology training throughout the organization.
* Develops, leads, and implements initiatives and programs designed to reduce patient harm and/or improve quality outcomes.
* Provides guidance in the determination, tracking, and analysis of quality assurance measures related to QAPI programming. This includes ensuring adherence to The Joint Commission performance improvement requirements and standards.
* Assists the Executive Leadership Team(s) to accomplish strategic goals including infusing QI methodology into the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care (quality assurance), reducing preventable patient harm (hospital acquired conditions), and improving clinical effectiveness.
* Remains current and well-informed on quality assurance, quality improvement, performance improvement, and high reliability changes and best practices.
* Routinely attends and participates in healthcare quality-related national meetings and workgroups to both harvest and disseminate best practices on behalf of Children's Health.
* Supports relationships with other pediatric healthcare organizations and community, state, and national organizations as appropriate.

 WORK EXPERIENCE

* At least 7 years Clinical experience, including at least 3 years in healthcare quality Required
* At least 5 years' Experience working with clinicians across various disciplines (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, etc.) Required
* At least 3 years Program development Preferred
* At least 3 years' Experience in a leadership role Preferred
EDUCATION
* Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality 1 Year Required
* Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Preferred
