Child Care Group is Hiring a Human Resources Intern Near Dallas, TX

 

Make an Impact as a Human Resources Intern

ChildCareGroup is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Director of Learning and Operational Development in executing operational strategies and initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit executive management and organizational development within the childcare sector. This position is a part-time, on-site position, with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions 

  • Assist the Director of Learning and Operational Development in day-to-day operational tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and communication. 
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. 
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to the Director of Learning and Operational Development and Senior Leadership Team. 
  • Support the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and projects led by the Director of Learning and Operational Development.
  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes. 
  • Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to childcare services. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes. 
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items. 
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program 
  • Degree program in social work or social sciences, business administration, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field preferred. 
  • Strong academic record with coursework or experience in operations management, organizational development, or strategic planning. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools is preferred. 
  • Interest in nonprofit leadership and a commitment to ChildCareGroup's mission and values.

Travel and Compliance 

  • Must have a valid driver's license if applicable 
  • Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements 
  • Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to travel locally or out of town as required 
  • Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable 
  • Must submit to and successfully pass all required CCG and Partner Program background checks throughout employment. These include FBI, Fingerprinting, Neglect and Abuse, Federal, State, Local, and Sex Offender background checks. Background check requirements may be expanded at the discretion of CCG and Partner Programs

Physical Demands 

  • Work requires normal physical effort with minimal lifting requirements of items weighing less than 50 pounds 
  • Visual attention 
  • Manual dexterity/coordination
