Catering Lead

Chick-fil-A South Plainfield’s Catering Lead oversees all of the catering needs of the restaurant on a daily basis. This candidate will take and full-fill orders, expedite and manage deliveries, package and prepare food with precision and care. The catering lead will also extend hospitality to our catering customers. Additionally, the successful candidate would work in the operations of the restaurant as needed. The catering manager reports directly to the Director of marketing and Catering.

Pay: $17 - $18 per hour – MUST BE WILLING TO WORK SOME SATURDAY’S AND EVENINGS

Responsibilities

• Oversee the catering needs of the restaurant on a daily basis
• Coordinate food prep needs for various catering orders for all catering customers 
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure food is made to our quality standards
• This candidate would take and full-fill orders, expedite and manage deliveries, package and prepare food with precision and care
• Deliver catering orders to customers and local businesses in our Chick-fil-A catering van
• Solicit and increase catering sales from nearby businesses
• Manage food deliveries to partnering business in the area 
• Work with major clients such as Rutgers and Home Depot to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and to guests’ satisfaction
• Candidate will work in operations of the restaurant when needed

Additional Requirements

• Candidate MUST be willing to work some Saturdays and Evenings
• Candidate should have some restaurant catering experience
• Gain experience in accounting, operations, and marketing
• Certifications (such as Food Manager, Certified Trainer, etc.)
