CHI ST VINCENT HEALTH is Hiring an ED Charge Nurse Near LITTLE ROCK, AR

Overview

The responsibilities of ED Charge Nurse include facilitating day-to-day operations of the Unit. Collaborates with staff, Nurse Managers, team leaders, supervisors, and physicians to ensure quality patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes.

No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

Responsibilities

Functions as a clinical and leadership mentor and coach to new and existing staffProvides input and feedback to the nurse manager/department leadership in regards to team performanceRemains aware of and guides effective management of materials and supplies, and works to minimize waste.Communicates the shared vision, mission and values of the department, SVI, and CHI.Participates in and actively supports Unit Council decisionsSupports an atmosphere that encourages high performance, teamwork and continual improvement of staff in order toRole models clinical and professional excellence.

We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, and relocation assistance. 

Qualifications

Diploma in Nursing from accredited nursing program or Associates Degree in Nursing required.Admission to a BSN program within one year, or obtaining a Bachelor degree within 2 years of assuming position is strongly encouraged.Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing.

License must be unencumbered. 2 years recent Nursing experience in area of specialtyBasic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) (PALS)
