Full Time Recovery Couneslor
Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc. operates the Crossroads Long-Term Structured Residence (LTSR) based out of Connellsville, PA. The LTSR is a long-term structured residential program for those who require extended mental health care beyond the hospital setting. This allows you to transition back into the community with the support and skills necessary to be successful in your recovery journey. The program offers a safe and structured environment with 24-hour supervision from qualified staff who have the skills and background necessary to meet your diverse needs. The Recovery Counselor will provide a full range of case management and counseling services to mentally ill adults aged 18 and over in the Crossroads LTSR while promoting and implementing the principles of Mental Health Recovery.
We are hiring a full-time Mental Health Recovery Counselor. As a Recovery Counselor, you will be working with clients helping them along their recovery journey. This position does require a master’s degree in a Human Services Field and one year of mental health clinical experience.
The LTSR operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, however; our Residential Counselors have a flexible work schedule meeting 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Sunday through Saturday. Saturday and Sunday are on a rotating basis.

Education: Minimum: A Master degree in human service field.
Experience: 1 to 2 years mental health experience in the mental health or related field preferred with adult individuals with psychiatric or developmental disabilities.
Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Fire Safety and Crisis Prevention and Intervention and other certifications required for employment.
Compliance: Ability to comply with Client’s Right, CRCSI’s policy and procedures. Ability to read, writes, and speaks the English language comply with Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearance procedures. Be able to comply with pre-employment and biennial physicals, and with tuberculosis and hepatitis screenings.
Other Requirements: Basic computer skills. Have a valid driver’s license with the ability to legally transport members.
