Manage and file paper records according to procedures. Prepare correspondence. Ensure that documentation is attached to electronic client records. Help to update disclosures stored electronically. Review outgoing information to ensure that required disclosures are valid and on file. Enter client demographic and payer information into electronic prescribing database. Prepare closed paper charts for electronic storage. Maintain order in warehouse or dedicated storage space. Help with utilization review and quality improvement activities.
High school diploma or GED. General knowledge of office procedures and use of office equipment including copier, fax, and scanning equipment. Good interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential information. Ability to manage several tasks at the same time. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a diverse group of people. Basic keyboarding skills. Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
