Wage Range:

$17.00 - $18.50

Full time:

  • Permanent Position
  • 40 hours per week on average

  • Premium Pay increase of .50¢/hour for all eligible employees working any hours on Saturday-Sunday, and weekdays before 6 am, or after 7 pm

Position Overview

This is a Full-time, temporary, supervisory position responsible for supervising Kitchen personnel, scheduling, performance reviews, inventory, sales, and will perform the duties of Kitchen Clerk when required.
Prepare and serve food to customers, while keeping all Service Deli and Bakery areas clean and safe. Kitchen Clerks will clean and fill Service Deli and Bakery displays. They will also maintain an organized stock area to reduce spoils and enhance the ordering process. Weigh, measure, and combine ingredients. Set temperatures on production ovens or grills. Operate baking equipment and food slicers. Check the quality of raw materials to ensure that standards and specifications are met. Apply glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods. Clean work area to include floors, displays, and shelves. Assist customers with special orders. 
 
Essential Job Functions

  • Serve customers in eating places that specialize in fast service and carry-out food.
  • Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas.
  • Notify kitchen personnel of shortages or special orders.
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints.
  • Prepare daily food items, and cook simple foods and beverages, using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures.
  • Select food items from serving or storage areas and place them in dishes, on serving trays, or in takeout containers.
  • Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Stock sales floor merchandise.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Non-essential Job Functions 

  • May compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure that shipments are correct.
  • May requisition merchandise from suppliers based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.
  • Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.

Physical Requirements 

  • Trunk Strength — The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
