The Cardiopulmonary Rehab Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the department and upholds clinical practice standards for the department. The supervisor provides positive leadership and problem- solving skills and is responsible for the continuous quality improvement, budgeting, customer and staff feedback and staff training and development. Supervisor is responsible for the national program certification renewal process.
Non-Nursing Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiotherapy, or related field 2-3 years of experience in cardiac rehabilitation preferably with telemetry Must be able to take blood pressures, use emergency equipment such as defibrillator, AED, and oxygen tank. ACSM certification or equivalent BLS certification
Preferred Education: BSN or higher degree Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Applicants must be registered to work as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia and must have current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Nursing Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum Required Education: Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program in the State of Virginia associate degree. Experience: 2 years in the ICU, CCU, Emergency Department, or Cardio Rehab facility, plus 1 years in telemetry monitoring and stress testing.
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiotherapy, or related field. Nursing Education and Experience
