The Opportunity

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is seeking a qualified individual to coach full-time for our Girls Gymnastics Team. Our Full-Time Team Coach should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience coaching at a competitive level. Former and current gymnasts are also encouraged to apply. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about coaching gymnastics and committed to creating a positive environment for athletes to thrive.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Instruct competitive team athletes
• Teach recreational and preschool gymnastics classes
• Create a fun, safe and productive environment
• Attend all scheduled hours
• Create and implement age/skill appropriate curriculum for classes and team
• Follow rotation schedule
• Track class attendance

Qualifications

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior competitive gymnastics coaching experience
• Exhibits an energetic, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work independently or within a group
• Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Enjoys working in a team environment
• Must be energetic and enthusiastic
• Punctual and reliable. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times (CP Uniform)

Compensation:$25-$40/hour, depending on experience

Schedule:Mainly weekday evenings and weekend mornings, depending on seasonal business needs. As a competitive team coach, some travel to competitions in the region may be required.
