Chelsea Piers Connecticut is seeking qualified individuals to coach in our Gymnastics programpart-time. Individuals who are former and current gymnasts, cheerleaders and dance enthusiasts, who are committed to creating a positive environment and working on a team, are encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach recreational gymnastics classes to children ages 3-13 years old

  • Create a fun, safe and productive environment

  • Attend all scheduled hours

  • Create and implement age/skill appropriate curriculum for classes

  • Follow rotation schedule

  • Track class attendance

Qualifications

  • Exhibits an energetic, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times

  • Ability to work independently or within a group

  • Willingness to learn from and share knowledge with coworkers

  • Excellent interpersonalskills

  • Enjoys working in a team environment

  • Must be engaging and enthusiastic

  • Punctual and reliable. Maintains a neat and professional appearance at all times (CP Uniform)

  • Preferably at least one year of experience teaching gymnastics and/or working with children

  • Must be able to work at leastone weekend shift per week

Schedule: Part-time, typically 15-20 hours per week. Weekday afternoons/evenings and weekend mornings (at least one weekend shift required)

Compensation: $18-$30/hour, depending on experience
