Position Overview: Charm Dental, a leading dental practice in Houston, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Dental Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple dental offices within the Houston region, providing support to our dentists and ensuring the highest standards of dental assistance.

Location: Houston, Texas, USA (Richmond, spring, katy, humble)

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:Assist dentists during dental procedures, including but not limited to examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions.

Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterilized and readily available.

Take and develop dental x-rays as required, following safety protocols and ensuring clear images for diagnosis.

Provide chairside assistance to dentists, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth workflow.

Patient Care:Greet patients warmly and ensure their comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.

Educate patients on proper dental hygiene techniques, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive dental practices.

Address patient concerns and questions with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.

Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes, using electronic dental records systems.

Schedule appointments, process patient payments, and assist with insurance claims processing as needed.

Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.

Training and Mentoring:Provide guidance and training to newly hired dental assistants within the region, ensuring they adhere to practice protocols and deliver high-quality patient care.

Serve as a resource for dental assistants, offering support and assistance with clinical procedures and administrative tasks as needed.

Compliance and Safety:Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.

Ensure compliance with state dental regulations and practice policies, including HIPAA privacy regulations and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting or 1 year experience at Charm Dental .

Proficiency in Open Dental and digital radiography.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.

Current CPR certification preferred.
