About the Role
The Director of Engineering leads the development of ARC and ChargeItSpot software.
As a leader, the Director of Engineering marshals both in-house and external resources
to create quality software solutions.
- Identify and address complex challenges and provide creative solutions to

performance evaluations, setting goals, and providing feedback to team

Relevant Technologies
Director of Engineering needs to have experience using the following technologies:
- Experience building server side code using the Java, Spring framework, and
- Experience building client side code using JavaFX, JSP/JSTL, and
- CI/CD technologies such as BitBucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- An understanding of version control systems such as git.
- Experience using Linux (Ubuntu preferred), SSH, and the Linux command line.
- Advanced knowledge of Postgres, database tuning, and database design
- Knowledge of USB device communication using USB HID or USB Serial with
middleware.
Other desirable skills include a knowledge of TCP/IP networking, knowledge of
Windows/MacOS, and experience using Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Trello, and
Confluence.

Location
Our headquarters is in downtown Philadelphia, PA (Old City). We operate in a hybrid
work model, and have a strong preference for candidates who can work in our office at
least 3 days/week since interacting with our hardware is a critical component of this
role. Most of our development team is in the office ~3 days per week. You must be
authorized to work in the United States.
