Job Description
Reports to: Shift Lead/Manager
As the Cashier, your job is to maintain a high quality standard, strive for excellence in customer service and maintain cash registers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Learn and Memorize Mountain Mikes’ Menu
Understand the Adora POS
Be able to differentiate between different orders: phone-takeout vs paid takeout, phone dine-in vs paid dine-in, delivery etc.)
Greet guest as they are entering or leaving
Request and Place Customer’s order correctly (make sure to repeat the order to customer)
Get payment and complete transaction (make sure to give receipt to the customer)
Understand, Apply and Adhere Alcohol Beverage Control Policies
Take Phone Orders
Check on Customers’ orders if they are waiting
Bring correct order to the customer whether take out or dine-in (provide utensils, cheese/peppers if needed)
Set up salad bar or put away salad bar depending on the shift
Refill Salad Bar as needed (make sure you have backups)
Keep salad bar cart clean at all times
Keep pizza warmer clean at all times (make sure its organized during lunch buffet)
Refill utensils, cheese/peppers, napkins, dressing cups, 2-liter sodas etc. as needed
Clean the counters, sneeze guard, registers, Pepsi machine, dining area, lobby area, front entrance etc.
Buss Tables
Follow Hand Sanitation and Food Safety rules at all times
Do dishes as needed
Fold Boxes
Check, clean and stock restrooms as assigned
Count registers as assigned
Time Management by using time at work in an efficient and effective manner to complete duties of designated job.
Be a crew/team member by helping co-workers and restaurant in any situation
Communicate effectively with co-workers/shit-managers/managers/owners
Relay customer complaints to the shift manager or manager
Have general knowledge of back of the house operations
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times at any and all of the facilities associated with Chandi Restaurants.
Projects or duties as assigned by owners or management
Qualifications and experience:
Good communication
Have knowledge of Food and Beverage industry and Front of the house functions
Ability to use register and software
Previous experience suggested
High school diploma preferred
All necessary certifications (Food Handlers, etc.)
Physical demands:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop and lift 40 lbs. as needed
Ability to work in a variety of environments
