Delivery Driver

Job Description

Reports to: Shift Manager 

As the Delivery Driver your job is to Deliver products in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Safely deliver customers’ order to their address

• Collect payments of delivered products via cash and coupons from customers and receive signature for credit card payments

• Have understanding of the dispatch

• Learn and Memorize Mountain Mikes’ Menu

• Understand the Adora POS

• Take Phone Orders

• Prepare quality and consistent menu items by following Mountain Mikes recipes and procedures standard 

• Prepare orders without mistakes (Become expert at dust-dock, make-line and cut table)

• Be able to quickly catch mistakes and find solution

• Be able to differentiate between orders: phone-takeout vs paid takeout, phone dine-in vs paid dine-in, delivery etc.)

• Keep work area clean

• Keep the delivery car clean

• Record automobile mileage, fuel costs etc.

• Assist in Back of the house operations (fold boxes, doing dishes, sweeping, taking trash out etc.)

• Assist in Front of the house operations as needed

• Communicate effectively with co-workers/supervisors/managers

• Relay Customer Complaints to the Shift Manager 

• Time Management by using time at work in an efficient and effective manner to complete duties of designated job.

• Check, Clean and Stock restrooms as assigned

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times at any and all of the facilities associated with Chandi Restaurant

• Other Projects/Duties assigned by Management or owners

Qualifications and experience: 

• Good communication skills

• Good sense of direction and able to navigate in unfamiliar areas

• Have knowledge of Food and Beverage industry and functions

• Ability to read and fulfill orders

• Previous experience suggested

• High school diploma preferred 

• Valid California Driver’s license and good driving record

• All necessary certifications (Food Handlers, etc.)

Physical demands:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop and lift 50 lbs. as needed

• Ability to work in a variety of environments
