Fiscal Specialist II
Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a Fiscal Specialist II to join the team providing services in Champaign County. The Fiscal Specialist II is the primary billing and receiving agent, responsible for administering the fiscal components of local, state, and federal programs. Components include accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory administration, payroll preparation, and development and interpretation of standard financial reports
Candidates must be highly skilled with computer systems and motivated to achieve excellence. Additionally, our future team member must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with our diverse population of clients, co-workers, and community partners

Schedule: The schedule is primarily 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. M-F (37.5 hours per week) but requires flexibility to meet the objectives of the Fiscal Department.
Worksite Location: Virtual/1776 E. Washington Street, Urbana, Illinois 61802
Status: Full-Time/37.5 hours per week
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Starting Wage: $22.86 - $28.57
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree in business, finance, or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience or bachelor’s with 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software programs – spreadsheets, internet, word processing, etc.
- Previous experience with UKG Payroll Software
- Ability to work inclusively and with a team
- Experience with grants and/or governmental units is preferred
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
- Ability to read and interpret written policies and apply policies to practice
- Attention to detail skills is required
