Chamber of Digital Commerce is Hiring a Social Media Manager Near Washington, DC

As the Social Media Manager at the Chamber of Digital Commerce, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage our audience, and promote our initiatives and events. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all social media platforms. This role requires a creative thinker with a passion for digital innovation and a deep understanding of the blockchain and digital asset industry.

Location: 

Washington, DC (preferred) or Remote (minimum 3 days in office per week if located in DC area)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our organization's visibility and engagement across various platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and others.
  • Create and manage compelling and engaging content, including posts, graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets to promote our advocacy efforts, events, research, and member initiatives.
  • Monitor social media channels for relevant industry news, trends, and conversations, and participate in discussions to enhance our thought leadership position.
  • Manage the social media editorial calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting of content that aligns with our organizational goals and priorities.
  • Analyze social media metrics and insights to track the performance of our campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Identify and engage with relevant influencers in the blockchain space to amplify our messaging and reach new audiences.
  • Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive relationships with our followers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate social media efforts and amplify key messages and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices, and provide recommendations for innovative strategies to drive engagement and growth.
  • Monitor and manage online reputation, proactively addressing any issues or concerns that may arise on social media channels.
  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives to promote membership, sponsorships, and other revenue-generating opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Film, Design, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the preferably in crypto, blockchain, nonprofit, or tech sector.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite for scheduling and monitoring, along with content creation platforms like Canva and Adobe Express.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, with a proven track record of growing and engaging online communities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to help craft compelling content tailored to different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in social media analytics tools to track performance and measure ROI.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills. 
  •  An eye for design. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with blockchain technology and related industries.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Video editing skills.
  • Experience in a trade org or nonprofit setting.
