Position description:

This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to be available during work hours, 5 days a week.

Travel to different sites.

Compensation is DOE. Experience is important; however, we hire based on character as well as skill. Being a good fit with our company's culture and team is a top priority.

This position is probationary pending satisfactory completion of a review process during the first three months of employment.

Qualified Candidates will oversee multiple workers and are key trainers of lesser skilled carpenters.

The Project Lead Carpenter is expected to be able to safely use all applicable equipment and tools for residential and commercial construction materials. They have detailed knowledge of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction practices.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

Experience with multiple types of new construction, repair, maintenance and remodeling

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Be able to take constructive criticism and direction

Effectively communicate with clients, management and direct reports with a positive attitude

Work effectively in challenging conditions and meet deadlines

Valid driver’s license.

Necessary skills include:

• Be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects / tasks

• Have a complete understanding of construction methods

• Tools and work vehicle (Truck, Van, SUV preferred)

• Mastery of the following trade skills:

• Carpentry - Rough and Finish
• Painting Interior and Exterior
• Drywall Repair / Patching / Caulking
• Minor Plumbing and Electrical
• Flooring Repair and Installation
• General Repairs and Maintenance Work

• Ability to Download and Use Apps

• A general understanding of customer service, principles and practices

• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines

• Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately

• Attend and satisfactorily complete sponsored operations and safety training courses as required

• Answer simple questions about the project, know when to defer questions to more qualified personnel
