Certa Pro Painters, Ltd is Hiring a Residential Sales Associate/Project Manager Near Birmingham, AL

POSITION: Residential Sales Associate (RSA) Estimator / Project Manager, CertaPro Painters of Hoover
PURPOSE: The purpose of the Residential Sales Associate (RSA) position is to perform estimates for interior and exterior paint projects to residential and commercial customers in a manner consistent with CertaPro Painters policies, procedures, quality, standards, and customer needs. RSAs work from leads that are provided and scheduled in a determined territory. Primary activity includes meeting with potential customers to review scope of work, take all needed measurements and details necessary to create, print and present proposal on the spot and attempt to close the deal with the customer. Additionally RSA will assist in the management of the painting project working with the directly with the crews. The includes the final walk through with the customer to insure the project is successful from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Complete estimate appointments to make in-home presentations to potential and existing customers in assigned territory
  • Record accurate measurements and write detailed descriptions of projects inspected
  • Recommend painting services and products tailored to each customer's needs
  • Promote the value and process of CertaPro effectively and sell based on customer profiles as well as full consideration of all options available
  • Present communication expectations, services to be performed, pricing, scheduling, color options, customer requirements, and offers in a clear, concise, accurate, and professional manner
  • Promote a positive company image at all times and provide excellent customer service
  • Meet productivity standards set by the department
  • Provide quality customer relations and meet all other performance standards
  • Manage activity using Lotus Notes CRM
  • Follow up on all estimates, inquiries, complaints, and other messages in a timely manner
  • Keep appointments with customers
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
  • Must pass applicable background check
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Two or more years of proven commissioned sales experience
  • Proven record of ability to hit and exceed goals
  • Familiar with basic functions of CRM
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Must be capable of working in all weather conditions and have flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs sales duties, including meeting with customers, scheduling designer consultations and/or follow up meetings, ensuring proposals are signed and completing all required paperwork/data entry
  • On-going commitment to sales goals
  • Ensures administrative duties are complete in a timely manner, including maintaining all data (lead profiles, job profiles, proposals, etc.) in the database and preparing reports/documentation as required
  • Helps with production, including ensuring written proposals are accurate and clearly define all expectations of the customer, ensuring all landed jobs are handed off to the correct person, communicating customer scheduling preferences and needs, managing customer expectations and ensuring they understand the entire process after the job is landed, maintaining communication with customers after a job is completed to ensure satisfaction and to generate referrals
  • Works directly with crews and homeowners throughout the duration of the project

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Advanced education degree, coursework, or tech school a plus
  • Previous service business experience desired
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal/written skills, to include proof-reading and basic math skills
  • Goal oriented
  • History of accomplishment and promotion
  • Active listener
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
