Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Duties

Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs of body for diagnostic purposes. Must be able to perform medical imaging efficiently.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Direct patients to exam room; obtains patient history and vitals
• Pulls x-ray and MRI images via the computer; uploads images brought by patient
• Instruct and assist patient in assuming physical position for appropriate x-ray test
• Be able to operate the C-arm and have vivid understanding of fluoroscopy for procedures
• Assists with blood draws and IVs for procedures
• Assists the physician with procedures as requested; prepares procedure room, sets up sterile field, and preps patient for injection as directed by the physician
• Assists patients with dressing and transport
• Prepares equipment/instruments for autoclave
• Documents information in EMR; prepares patient files for upcoming appointments and documents encounters accordingly
• Accurately enters billing into EMR
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and other staff
• Assist with other duties as assigned to meet the need of the clinic

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of current AART license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Possess superior knowledge of x-ray procedures and techniques
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times, as required by facility policy and HIPAA guidelines
• Follow all exposure control plans

Skills

Radiologic Technologist experience preferred. Organized, efficient and multi-functional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication

Qualifications

Education Requirements: graduate of an accredited radiography program, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT certified or registry. CPR/BLS Certified or obtained within 90 days of employment.
