Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Lead an internal team to ensure timely account reconciliations and preparation of all document requests and required schedules
- Prepare and review final schedules and disclosures
- Assist in presenting final audit reports and/or Form 990 for senior leadership review prior to distribution or filing
- Work with Controller to direct, maintain, and revise financial accounting and reporting systems
- Maintain and develop relationships with outside service organizations
- Maintain knowledge on trends and best practices affecting accounting, compensation, and financial reporting
- Design and implement financial internal control standards
- Preparation and completion of the annual budget, annual financial audits, state and federal tax reporting for exempt organizations
- Working directly with CPA firm to coordinate the audit process from start to finish
- Handle special projects and perform other related duties as assigned
