The Controller is responsible for maintaining the company’s financial database to ensure financial reporting is always up to date and accurate. The Controller’s main task is to prepare and present financial statements and financial models to the executive team and ensure the general financial health of the business. The Controller is also responsible for ensuring all invoices, bills, payments, are recorded, paid and collected timely in QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Ensure all financial information and plans are kept confidential
• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliation;
• Complete the Company's bi-weekly payroll. Manage all payroll journal entries in QuickBooks as needed. If necessary, prepare and cut final checks as needed.
• Create & own the company budgets. Create budgets for each department; e.g. travel, supplies, trade shows, entertainment, etc. Meet with the department heads to implement and track against the budgets. Report on budgets monthly and the variance to the budget.
• Manage all cash activity; monitor daily cash position and report to executive team, review weekly A/R and A/P aging with the and generate weekly A/R forecast based on aging 
• Manage and post all payments and deposits (including wires); prepare the weekly A/R aging for review with the Controller
• Oversee and complete all Company financial modeling and tracking actuals against the models; reports include cash flow forecasts, company budgets and forecasted financial statements.

• Prepare and complete month end close and financial statement analysis, completing month end close journal entries, preparing financial statements, tracking actuals to forecasts and LY, and advising Executive Management on the general state of the business.

• College Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Basic understanding of compliant accounting best practices

• Salary range: $115-145k, commensurate with experience
