Staff Accountant

Summary

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
• Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliation including, but not limited to, cash and bank reconciliations.
• Research and resolve outstanding items.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Review P&L transactions for accuracy and completeness.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting with 0 to 2 years related experience and/or training.

Computer Skills

MS Office, accounting software and databases; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
