Cover: 1/2 time in RNC, 1/2 time in hospital (acute care)
Swallowing bed evaluations, required and video fluoroscopy experience preferred, not required.
Would need to be flexible to move with patient loads.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of allied healthcare professionals. The Speech Language Pathologist plays a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, empathy, and a commitment to helping patients reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with communication and swallowing disorders, including assessment of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Provide direct therapy services to patients, including speech and language therapy, cognitive-communication therapy, voice therapy, and dysphagia management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families/caregivers about communication and swallowing disorders, treatment options, and home exercise programs.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan.
