We are seeking a driven person that is motivated by our mission to discover and deploy the most effective strategies that reduce energy and carbon emissions. This person will join our IT team but primarily work for CEE’s Market Transformation Team. The Market Transformation Team is responsible for scoping, designing, and implementing a portfolio of emerging technology initiatives, to accelerate the adoption of new energy efficient technologies in Minnesota.

The Technical Data Analyst will be responsible for developing data intake and organization processes and managing the wrangling of large data sets. The analyst will support the calculation of the energy savings for each market transformation initiative, as well as tracking progress and forecasting trends.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and managing data pipelines. They will be able to develop data intake processes and collaborate with the Market Transformation team to develop and implement methods to forecast sales trends for the state of Minnesota. They will have a team-oriented approach, be agile, and goal oriented as they implement data cleaning, validation, and a variety of other tasks needed to support the Market Transformation team.

Background:

CEE is a data-driven, consumer-focused, and community-based clean energy nonprofit with locations in the North Loop of Minneapolis and St. Paul's Midway. For nearly 40 years, CEE has collaborated with utilities, governments, nonprofits, and businesses to deliver actionable research and innovative programs that reduce energy waste and harmful emissions. We have established a national reputation for innovation and excellence in program implementation, emerging technology and field research, local and state policy work, and our work with communities. We collaborate regularly with partners and employ curious people who share a passion for the organization’s mission. Our workplace invites open door communications, respect for diverse backgrounds and points of view, and an emphasis on work-life balance. Our organizational culture is professional but easy-going, with a deep emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and technical expertise. We are proud to operate in Minnesota, a national leader in clean energy and energy efficiency. While we prefer someone in or willing to relocate to Minnesota for this position, we are open to employing an exceptional candidate from out of state for remote employment.

CEE launched the Market Transformation program in 2023, with committed and growing funding from the State of Minnesota and its utilities. This program accelerates and rapidly scales the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies, including workforce efforts. The Technical Data Analyst will report to the Director of IT and may support projects across the organization but will primarily work with the MT team at CEE.
