Central Wyoming Counseling Center is Hiring a Residential Technician Near Casper, WY

JOB SUMMARY:

The Residential Technician is responsible for the daily oversight of the unit to include monitoring of clients, guests, facility grounds, medication delivery to the clients, care of the unit and professional communication, ensuring a safe environment for the clients, and coworkers at all times. The Residential Technician will maintain a professional, and open line of communication with their coworkers, supervisors and clients when handling necessary daily tasks, concerns, incident’s, and grievances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Monitoring of clients, guests, facility grounds when outside and oversight of appropriate use of the facility by clients in the programs, which include but is not limited to client chores, client phone calls, visits, meals, snacks, communication with client’s regarding rules and use of facility, expectations during their stay, oversight of scheduled recreation time, and recreation/exercise. 

2. Monitors facility through regular rounding and facility cameras.

3. Follow and adhere to all company program policies, protocols, procedures, and guidelines. 

4. Daily cleaning of assigned units and workstations within the residential facility. 

5. Communicates professionally with all client’s, client families, co-workers, and supervisors.

6. Keeps their team, supervisors and other staff involved with client’s care and treatment informed of urgent client needs, issues that require attention for the clients, incidents and safety concerns for clients and staff.

7. Is responsible for attending staff meetings, trainings, and monthly individual supervision meetings as scheduled. 

8. Is responsible for all education and training received as an employee of CWCC. 

9. Documents daily shift summaries on clients. 

10. Maintains current certification in First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precaution Procedures. 

11. Communicates shift reports and give a verbal report to oncoming shift at the end of each scheduled shift. 

12. Conducts education groups as assigned by the supervisor. 

13. Monitoring and documenting client’s self-administration of their medications.

14. Monitoring and documenting of improved adherence, symptom management and / or side-effect management.

15. Must completed and pass medication training within first 3 months of hire date and be able to perform the duties assigned for medication monitoring and delivery per training modules.

16. Transporting of clients when assigned in a safe manner. 

17. Ensuring that all company vehicles used are done so following all rules and regulations for driving and adhering to company policy and protocols for care and use of the vehicles.

18. Computer knowledge required.

19. Performs facility searches which include client’s rooms and clients’ belongings upon admission/discharge and through-out treatment stay. 

20. Complete admission process, packet and all required documents for admission and discharge on all clients.

21. Daily completion of all documentation prior to leaving at end of shift.

22. Assist with orientation and education of all new and existing staff in a professional, positive, and appropriate manner.

23. Being observant of changes in resident client functioning, informing clinical staff of observed changes and working with the clinical team to assist clients’ progress in relapse prevention and coping skills. 

24. Synthesizes assessment information so that clearly stated, prioritized problems can be addressed by available services and resources.

25. Working to ensure the physical safety of all client residents. 

26. Scheduling and coordinating monthly fire drills. 

27. Being awake and available to clients throughout all scheduled shifts. 

28. Client safety priority and promotes awareness of independent safety needs.

29. Uses interpersonal skills to engage and support clients as they deal with issues such as illness management, problem solving and goal attainment. Establishment of positive rapport encourages clients to progress towards self-sufficiency.

30. Collaborates with clients in their development of relapse prevention skills, which include cleaning, personal hygiene, community integration, behavioral management. Increasing relapse prevention and coping skills promotes self-reliance.

31. Monitoring facility for needed maintenance issues.

32. Must be able to complete a work order properly and proficiently when an issue needs addressed.

33. Must inform Program Coordinator and Director of identified problems with the facility. Prompt notification ensures a safe environment for all residents and staff.

34. Staff are responsible for the ongoing janitorial duties of the office, staff bathroom, and storage areas every shift and weekly deep cleaning procedures.

35. Responsible for completing competency-based workplace safety training as assigned by the agency.

36. Other duties as assigned
