This position is located on the Central Campus and will work in our Surgical Technology program. The goal of the surgical technology program at Central Piedmont Community College is to prepare competent entry-level surgical technologists in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.
Central Piedmont Community College is a comprehensive institution which places primary emphasis on excellence in classroom instruction. Faculty members are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in each of the following areas throughout their employment at the college.
I. Mastery of Subject Matter
Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field, current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology Surgical Association (NBSTSA) and a minimum of three years of experience in the operating room scrub role, an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both; or
Associate degree, current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology Surgical Association (NBSTSA) and a minimum of five years of experience in the operating room scrub role, an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both
