COC is an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with developmental/intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Our in home suppports program is hiring in Bend for Direct Support Professional to work directly with clients in their homes and responsibilities vary from one client to another as we support a diverse array of individuals with things such as: assisting with personal care, providing transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, helping with cleaning and organizing their homes and laundry, hiking and exploring the outdoors, performing medication passes, pursuing individual interests, and simply hanging out and talking. This position does require weekend availability and a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in their home
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents by following all applicable protocols and procedures
- Promote independence and resident rights by encouraging and assisting with decision-making and self-care
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for residents
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in resident's condition
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers or nurses, to ensure comprehensive care for residents

Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others

-Must have a drivers license

- Ability to work weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
