CENTRAL AMUSEMENT INTERNATIONA is Hiring a JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT Near Boonton, NJ

Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance and Administration team to assist in providing accounting and administrative services. Even though the Junior Accountant will be exposed to all areas of the accounting process, they will be focusing on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, and Inventory process for our amusement parks and food and beverage locations. The Junior Accountant will be the beacon of accountability and integrity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Responsible for maintaining Accounts Payable
  •  Responsible for maintaining Accounts Receivable
  •  Responsible for maintaining Bank Reconciliations
  •  Responsible for maintaining receipt of goods and inventory
  •  Responsible for daily invoicing, collections, and posting of cash receipts
  •  Audit procurement process
  •  Audit warehouse asset management process
  •  Prepare various General Ledger account analyses
  •  Assist in the monthly closing process
  •  Prepare journal entries
  •  Schedule disbursements to vendors
  •  Maintain paperless document database
  •  Assist in keeping accurate Accounts Payable records through detailed reporting and documentation
  •  Participate in training programs
  •  Maintain professional knowledge up to date by participating in courses and educational opportunities
  •  Perform other duties expected of the Junior Accountant position and assist in all other critical needs of the Company as assigned

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Integrity, enthusiasm, energy, accountability and positive attitude
  •  Teamwork, continuous improvement, and process-based culture
  •  Minimum 2 years of experience in General Accounting
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  •  Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  •  Knowledge of SAGE 100 Cloud a plus
  •  Strong analytical and organization skills
  •  Attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
