Center Design + Build is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Ypsilanti, MI

Join our team at Center Design Build! We're a design-focused construction company based in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Michigan, seeking talented individuals to grow with us. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3 years minimum experience in a professional setting.
  • BONUS: Work experience within the Design and Construction Industry.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Part-time: 15-20 hours per week to start - flexible on number of hours for value added.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Hybrid position - will require in-person work in Ypsilanti or Ann Arbor, especially while training.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Must be computer-literate. Applicable software and general knowledge requirements include:
  • Quickbooks On-Line
  • Accounting Knowledge
  • Google Docs
  • Google Sheets

  • Construction Industry Knowledge
  • Professional Skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • General organizational skills are a must.
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for learning, growth, and professional development.

  • The ability to work independently while still collaborating with team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and minor accounting
  • Tracking and monitoring of revenue and expenses
  • Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Communication with clients and vendors about invoicing and administrative tasks

EMPLOYMENT PACKAGE:

  • Starting at $20-$25 per hour depending on your specific experience level - Accelerated raises possible based on candidate performance.

  • Retirement (SIMPLE IRA) offered to qualifying employees*

* This position does not currently meet the qualifying employee requirements for HealthCare and Retirement benefits, but there is an opportunity to qualify should the right candidate show success and add value to the company.

  • Flexible & Hybrid Schedule (after sufficient training)
  • There will be in-person requirements, especially for the first few months of employment while training. Thereafter, your schedule will be flexible as long as expectations around our established job performance are being met.
