The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing customer transportation contracts in a manner that meets both the client and company needs, including overseeing the daily activities of drivers and bus aides, dispatching routes, and acting as the point of contact with regard to communicating routing changes, environmental conditions, and fleet updates. This position will also support the management aspects of contract supervision, including personnel management, safety/training, overseeing work activities, supporting Health and Safety documentation and implementation, as well as communication with customers, and others. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible for adhering to corporate policies, establishing contract supervision goals, and acting as a role model for other employees to ensure all procedures are followed as required. The position follows a typical work week, but it is anticipated that the Operations Manager may work longer than 40 hours as the position is one of a professional nature where accomplishment and execution take precedent over specific hours. Working Conditions: Normal office environment, spending approximately 20% of the time as a driver, subject to change based on company needs. Travel includes but is not limited to visits to other Cedar Bus locations, meetings with Cedar Bus customers, organizational partners and clients. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe work environment, using all Cedar Bus procedure and resources. Primary point of contact and communication to program managers and house managers. Establish and grow strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing best-in-class service. Ensure trips are completed daily in routing box. Open/Close the building by performing all necessary tasks to launch the routes, dispatch, and close out the day. Schedule trips throughout the day. Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings. Oversee incident reports and communication with Program. Compile required reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual) for customers. Monitor 19a compliance of drivers. Communicate PM's and repairs with the shop and Base Manager. Accountable for providing general supervision & development of all employees. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance Maintain written and oral communications with management, drivers, monitors and customers Manage weekly schedule for drivers & monitors. Send reports daily. Drive or serve as monitor as needed. All other job duties as assigned by Director of Operations, Base Manager, and/or his or her designee Protect company assets.
