Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for designing and guiding the implementation and

execution of Clark Beverage Group warehouse automation and maintenance operations.

Essential Functions

The Maintenance Manager develops and manages strategy and implementation for the

and automation areas of the warehouses. This position assists with technical support and leadership in automated systems, facilities, equipment, and processes. In conjunction with the Director of Warehouse Operations, the Maintenance Manager will provide oversight of installation of new automated equipment. In addition, they will plan and implement general maintenance requirements and serve as the point-of-contact for post-go-live. This role is also responsible for modern technology exploration and implementation across the manufacturing facilities.


Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate development of control and automation solutions to support initiatives.
  • Analyze business results and develop programs to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Direct and manage project implementation from beginning to end.
  • Work with vendors and internal partners to make enhancements to facilities and automation software.
  • Provide guidance and serve as key decision maker for automation system operations, management routines, business processes, process mapping for continuous improvement in the operation.
  • Oversee processes that include development of best practices while always driving continuous

improvement goals across all automation sites.

  • Guide process improvements to achieve system rate, reduction of BDL (Breakage, Damage and Loss),

maximizing load accuracy and reducing overall operating costs

  • Design, determine and implement Standard Operating Procedures, standardized productivity, and systems reporting processes to improve consistency throughout automation footprint.
  • Serve as direct point of contact with automation vendor from site design through project commissioning

and post-go-live support including any necessary upgrades to automation systems.

  • Responsible for overseeing installation of all new automation systems as well as necessary improvements as new technologies become available.
  • Work directly with vendor(s) to resolve software/hardware issues that negatively impact system
  • operation
  • Serves as decision maker for interaction with vendor(s) for necessary changes to system both software
  • and hardware related.
  • Responsible for understanding the business and seeking out new areas where automation can be

successful and beneficial

  • Develops team to assist with growth and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Oversight of all centralized automation requirements and ongoing system support, including purchase and refurbishing/decommissioning decisions.
  • Oversight of all centralized planning for development and execution of best practices across all automation sites including implementation of new reporting, process changes, system alterations and

product location

  • Develop and manage best in class policies, processes and reporting for automation programs to ensure

system and facility readiness and extend the serviceable life of the assets.

  • Initiate, analyze, and manage innovation, technology and suppliers related to automation.

Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • 8 years previous production maintenance experience
    • Facility components
      • Air rotation units (ARU), compressed air, docks, roofs, etc.
    • Mechanical components
      • Gearboxes, bearings, 24vdc rollers, belting and pneumatic
    • Electromechanical components
      • Electrical panels (24V and 480V circuits), frequency convertors, encoders, photo-cells, panel terminals, PLC, safety relays, I/O blocks, safety devices (i.e. light curtains) and machine side motor control
  • Experience in the automation beverage industry preferred (i.e. Vertique)

Competencies

  • Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Demonstrate management and organizational skills

Work Environment
This position requires exposure to warehouse conditions

Travel
Travel as needed throughout facilities in Mississippi and Kentucky, as well as to conference and/or training seminars to explore future technologies and gain additional knowledge and experience within the areas of automation and maintenance as it relates to the scope of the position.
