CBTS is currently seeking a Director of Project and Product Management for a position located in Scottsdale, AZ.

The Director of Project and Product Management holds overarching responsibility for the quality, timeliness, and strategic alignment of all projects and products delivered by the IT department to both internal and external stakeholders. This pivotal role encompasses driving the planning, prioritization, and execution of projects in collaboration with the IT Steering Committee and business stakeholders. We are seeking a transformational leader who can define, implement, and support new standards and processes for Project and Product Management across the IT department. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to anticipate business needs, deliver results, and demonstrate proficiency in creating and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Has overall responsibility for the quality and timeliness of all projects delivered by the IT department to both internal and external customers.
  • This position is also responsible for driving the planning and ongoing evaluation of project priorities in collaboration with the IT Steering Committee.
  • Transformational leader who can define, implement, and support new standards and processes for Project Management across the IT department.
  • The ability to anticipate business needs and deliver results is a must. In addition, a successful candidate will have relevant training and experience creating and reporting on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key PMO stakeholders and acts as a trusted advisor.
  • Directs and oversees the organization's portfolio of IT projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the customer or stakeholder.

Product Management

  • Leads and mentors a team of Sr. IT Product Owners and works with the business to set the product strategy.
  • Leads the Sr. IT Product Owners in defining product roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing resources, and driving innovation to deliver products that meet customer and market demands.
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's product and project portfolio.
  • Provides strategic direction, guidance, and support to Product and Project managers and teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • They establish and enforce product and project management methodologies, standards, and best practices, and ensures that projects are aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • They also collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize projects, allocate resources, and manage project budgets.
  • This role plays a crucial role in driving product and project excellence, enhancing project performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Experience in working in Scrum/Agile environments and is familiar with SDLC and Tools (Jira, Confluence GitHub, MS Project)
  • Define efficient and effective Product and Project Management standards for use inside the department.
  • Provide ongoing product and project management support to teams in other IT divisions
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the IT department and establish methodologies for measuring and reporting those metrics inside and outside the department.
  • Manage a team of Product and Project management staff, to provide ongoing coaching and mentoring for the team.
  • Defines, manage and directs the end-to-end Project Management work effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques to identify, quantify, and track the project benefits.
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the project management processes to achieve a higher maturity level for the team.
  • Assist in the company’s annual PCI compliance audits.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area of study or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 Years of leadership experience in a large scale internal IT Product and Project Management organization
  • 10 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Appropriate certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials
  • Leadership experience managing employees on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience in best practices for IT Product Ownership, Project Management, Change Management, and Incident Response
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance resources across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate across organizations and levels
  • Detail orientation with focus on delivering quality results, first time, every time
  • Project and Program management skills and experience, plus knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application (MS Project, Planview, Clarizen)
  • A distinctive blend of Business, IT, Financial and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan
