Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology.
- License/Certification: Certified Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy Technologists (ARRT-T), and licensed by the Texas Department of Health (CMRT).
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients with assistance as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Simulate treatment set-ups according to physician instructions.
- Perform dosimetric calculations under supervision, using manual or computerized methods.
- Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments.
- Assist in Brachytherapy procedures.
- Ensure proper operation and safety of treatment machines/simulators.
- Verify dose measurements and report any discrepancies.
- Adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support department goals and contribute to organizational success.
- Provide compassionate and personalized experiences to patients and colleagues.
- Mentor and support less experienced staff members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- 1 years of experience in radiation therapy.
