About the Program and Position:
Our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program is dedicated to significantly impacting the lives of unaccompanied children aged 0- 17 ½. Referred through shelters or trusted foster care providers, these children rely on our continuous support throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to their parents or sponsors. We can guide and empower these children and sponsors through an unfamiliar system, which makes a significant difference.
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Case Management, the Assistant Regional Director will oversee a team of Case Managers who assist youth and their families to receive the support they need to experience a safe transition out of ORR care and into their communities. The role of the Assistant Regional Director is to lead, train, and guide their team.
How you get to use your skills…
Coordinate a team that will provide evidence-based interventions and solution-focused work when working with families in the community.
Oversee and train program staff
Supervise the work of caseworkers within the region
Ensure staff comply with agency and regulatory policies and procedures
Assist staff in managing crises that may arise on their caseloads
Perform a variety of administrative or executive support tasks, such as trend/quarterly reports that are confidential
Conduct weekly audits to ensure all assessments, reports, and team case notes are current in the hardcopy file and electronic file
Ensure Case Managers meet all deadlines required by ORR, state licensing, and federal partners
Perform other duties as requested by the Assistant Vice President, the Vice President of HS/PRS, Senior and Executive leadership, or the Deputy for Federal Programs.
Schedule:
Regular hours entail Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm, business hours; Must be Flexible to meet program needs
Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends required
24/7 on-call support required
Travel outside of work hours to various hubs
