Earn $20.20/hour ($21.64 includes bilingual increase)

About the Program and Position:

Our Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) program supports foster youth in the custody of the Administration for Children’s Services in New York City. Our EFFC program serves 137 youth ages 0-21 and supports them with a multidisciplinary team that includes a Case Planner, Health Services Team, Psychiatrist, Behavioral Support Specialist, Family Advocate, Case Aide, Family Team Conferencing Coordinator, Education Workforce Specialist, Employment/Internship and Housing Specialist, Fair Futures Coach, Foster Home Recruiter and Licensor and Clinician. Our therapeutic approach to foster care includes direct access to Clinicians and foster parents trained at a treatment foster care level implementing the ARC framework. This makes a difference because our team approach provides a space for healing while providing skill-building and future-focused planning for youth in our care.

And the role a Data Specialist plays in all this is ensuring the timely processing of all movements and maintaining accurate data-related spreadsheets on behalf of the program.

How you get to use your skills…

  • Complete all movements in the Connections Placement Dashboard within 5 business days of placement

  • Ensure all movements are documented in the relevant electronic health record system, NETSMART

  • Ensure all movements are tracked on EFFC billing spreadsheets and Daily Roster

  • Complete OCFS Notification of Foster Care Level of Care form upon the youth’s movement into a new foster home to reflect room and board payment

  • Submit the EFFC billing spreadsheet to finance on a monthly basis

  • Complete the allotted youth’s allowance breakdown and submit it to finance on a monthly basis

  • Oversee the Special Rate spreadsheet and submit all documentation required for youth’s Rate via CSEN

  • Serve as the agency’s lead and representative for ACS CSEN Unit

  • Notify the assigned staff when a youth’s rate package is due within 90 days to support with timely submission via CSEN

  • Track Special Bulletin requests and collect all required documentation for finance submission

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant providers and stakeholders, Cayuga Centers staff, and other community programs and organizations

  • Work collaboratively and communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues, families, and other service providers.

  • Participate in weekly supervision with the assigned supervisor, as well as staff and team meetings.

  • Maintain up-to-date with ACS and OCFS policies related to CSEN, Special Bulletin, Movements, etc.

  • Assist Court Liaison with the acquisition and maintenance of vital documents as needed.

  • Participate in all required training

  • Perform other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor, senior leadership, and CEO

Schedule: Non-Exempt

  • Regular hours entail 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

  • Must be flexible to meet program needs
