The department of Surgery utilizes the Physician Assistants / PA's on the General Surgery service as a part of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high quality healthcare. 

St. Francis provides a full spectrum of surgical services including General Surgery, Urology, Plastics, ENT and Neurosurgery in which the Physician Assistant / PA is a valued member. The Physician Assistant will provide services to patients at the main hospital campus.

Responsibilities will include:

• Physician Assistant - First and/or second assist in surgical procedures in the Operating Room
• Physician Assistant - Provide floor coverage to Pre and Post OP patients.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician’s Assistant program
• Board Certification and NYS licensure required
• NCCPA certified
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 years of experience preferred in the OR and surgical floor coverage
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekend rotations.

The range for this position is $63.38 to $89.34 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
