Position Objective

This position is a key support function for the parishes, schools, cemeteries, and chancery office within the Diocese. The HR Generalist will guide employee experience, serving the people who serve the people of God. 

Essential Duties

• Provide timely and accurate service and support to employees and parish leadership teams, including expertise in payroll, benefits, medical leaves and employment matters. 
• Manage projects; assist and support parishes in areas of staffing and recruiting, producing training materials, and handling off-boarding processes. 
• Create HR related reports and provide HR metrics as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and diocesan employment requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a closely related field, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, and/or staff or project management, customer service or similar support role.
• Intermediate skills in MS Outlook: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
