Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge is Hiring a Director for Schools Government Programs, Grants and Certifications Near Baton Rouge, LA

General Statement of Duties
The Director for Schools Government Programs, Grants, and Certifications, as a member of the Catholic Schools Office team, performs job duties to support schools in realizing the vision of Evangelizing Hearts, Educating Minds, and Embracing the Future through positive communication, promotion of effective school government programs, curriculum and instruction, responsible coordination of resources, and acknowledgement of outstanding service and accomplishment.
Members of the Catholic Schools Office staff collaborate with the bishop in his work of evangelizing, catechizing, leading worship and giving pastoral care to the people of the larger community, and support the parishes, schools and other organizations of the diocese in accomplishing their ministry.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in educational program management, with a focus on state testing, federal Title funds, and grant administration.
  • Knowledge of federal and state education policies and regulations.
  • Valid current driver’s license and own reliable transportation.
Other Requirements
  • Excellent typing/word processing skills and proficient in various computer programs to include Microsoft
Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential with the ability to work and communicate with people of all levels and backgrounds, including clergy, pastors, and principals.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in various computer programs to include current software being used by the diocese, i.e., Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to learn and use Learning Management Systems, Database Management, email and other mass communication tools, Live Video conferencing and webinars and use of Social Media and Website as tools for communication, formation and development as well as other technology as it applies to the office’s ministry and has the ability to innovatively promote the use of technology to further the goals of the diocese’s catholic schools.
