Catholic Community Schools is Hiring an Accountant I Near Saint Cloud, MN

Catholic Community School’s Central Office is seeking an Accountant I.
Catholic Community Schools is a network of seven Catholic elementary schools and one middle and high school in and around the St. Cloud, MN metro area where, beyond academics, we teach respect, integrity, responsibility, leadership, service, and kindness. Summary:
Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records, including preparation of accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with all things accounting, including A/P, A/R, Tuition Management, and G/L.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and enter into the financial system.
  • Record deposits and ensure account coding.
  • Enter A/P invoices into system and process payments.
  • Reconcile assigned accounts.
Necessary Skills:
  • Proficiency with the following software: Quickbooks, Microsoft Products, and Google Office
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate servant leadership, embody the Catholic Community Schools mission, and exemplify a collaborative, decisive, motivating, and engaging communication style.
  • Appreciation and understanding of Catholic Community Schools’ mission and the ability to articulate its values and vision internally and externally.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • A minimum of two years of accounting experience is preferred.
Catholic Community Schools consists of the following schools: All Saints Academy (St. Cloud), Cathedral Middle and High School (St. Cloud), St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School (St. Cloud), St. Francis Xavier Catholic School (Sartell), St. Joseph Catholic School (St. Joseph), St. Katharine Drexel School (St. Cloud), and St. Mary Help of Christians School (St. Augusta).
