Catholic Community Schools is Hiring a Development Officer Near Saint Cloud, MN

Catholic Community School’s Central Office is seeking a Development Officer.
Catholic Community Schools is a network of six Catholic elementary schools and one middle and high school in and around the St. Cloud, MN metro area where, beyond academics, we teach respect, integrity, responsibility, leadership, service, and kindness. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Minimum Required)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field (such as Nonprofit Management, Business, or Communications).
  • Strong potential for success in fundraising, development, or related roles within the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of alumni, parent, student, and community relations.
  • Appreciation and support of the Catholic faith, values, and mission of Catholic Community Schools.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Development Officer develops and executes fundraising initiatives and programs in service to the mission and strategic goals of CCS. This position involves researching, prospecting, cultivating, and managing relationships with donors, alumni, and community members, as well as coordinating fundraising activities. The Development Officer ensures that the organization’s development efforts are successful, and that donor support is maximized. This position provides support for Catholic Community Schools (CCS), The Cathedral Education Foundation (CEF), and The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of St Cloud (CFDS).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the President and Development team on creating a CCS strategic fundraising plan, building annual fundraising goals, focusing on major gifts, planned giving, annual campaigns, corporate sponsorships, and grant opportunities for CCS, CEF, and CFDS.
  • Collaborate with the CCS leadership teams to align fundraising strategies with the overall mission, vision, and goals of CCS, CEF, and CFDS.
  • Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with individual donors, alumni, parents, staff, parishioners, community leaders, and corporate partners to secure financial support.
  • Conduct donor research and maintenance of the donor database to track interactions, contributions, and engagement levels using strategic and systematic processes and best practices.
  • Donor database software super user.
  • Conduct and collaborate on communications to provide updates, express gratitude, and engage donors in the mission and activities of CCS, CEF, and CFDS.
  • Collaborate on planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events such as galas, auctions, donor appreciation events, and alumni reunions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Oversee and participate in the process of preparing charitable gifts for a deposit, logging gifts in the donor database, and the acknowledgment of gifts.
  • Oversee and participate in fundraising events and activities for CCS schools, in collaboration with CCS and school employees, parents and volunteers.
  • Prepare reports and attend Board of Directors meetings and other committee meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Proficient in required technology including, but not limited to, Google Office, Microsoft Office, Donor Database, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suites.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Works collaboratively with all staff members in a respectful, professional, and approachable manner.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the member schools.
Catholic Community Schools consists of the following schools: All Saints Academy (St. Cloud), Cathedral Middle and High School (St. Cloud), St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School (St. Cloud), St. Francis Xavier Catholic School (Sartell), St. Joseph Catholic School (St. Joseph), St. Katharine Drexel School (St. Cloud), and St. Mary Help of Christians School (St. Augusta).
