Catholic Charities Fort Worth is Hiring an Internship- Instructor Assistant- Refugee Education Near Fort Worth, TX

What will you be doing?

Teaching English, Reading and Basic Skills

You will assist in teaching English, reading, and basic skills to help restore the lives of the persecuted refugee children so they can be successful in school in the United States.

Support Refugee Education Team

You will support the Refugee Education Team by ensuring the success of funder requirements and team goals.

Provide Necessary Documentation

You will provide necessary documentation to ensure compliance with funder requirements and agency quality assurance standards.

WORK HOURS AND LOCATION

Regular office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Works hours for this position will be between 10-20 hours per week for one or more semesters (spring, summer or fall). For spring and fall semester interns, two after school tutoring groups from 3:00-6:00pm are required as a part of weekly hours. Must be available for two of the following time slots for spring and fall semesters: Mondays 3-6pm, Tuesdays at 3-6 pm, Wednesdays at 3-6 pm, or Thursdays at 3-6 pm. Other days and times are negotiable, based on the needs of the intern and the program.

For summer interns, the tutoring groups scheduling is more flexible with morning (8am-12) and afternoon (1pm-5pm), Monday through Friday tutoring groups.

This position will be providing in-person tutoring. Collaboration with the team will also be done in-person.
