DescriptionBRONX MAINTENANCE WORKER - SIGN-ON BONUS $1,000
Beacon of Hope, a Division of Catholic Charities Community Services, seeks a Maintenance Worker for ensuring its residence is safe and well maintained. Responsibilities include cleaning, repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and coordinating work with outside vendors. Must have ability to use small power tools and understand how to work with residents with Special Needs, including those with Mental Health issues and those who are hearing impaired. May assist other Beacon of Hope programs, as needed. Performs work in accordance with Office of Mental Health guidelines for Supported as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures. Generally works Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Salary is $24.00 an hour to $26.00 an hour ($49,920 - $54,080 annually). Pro-rated on time actually worked during the year.) Salary is commensurate with experience and skill set.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years' experience as a Superintendent or Maintenance Worker
- Ability to handle multiple demands and work well independently or within a team.
- New York State Driver’s License required.
