Regional Operations Director, Denver Shelters

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver has been serving Northern Colorado since 1927. We serve tens of thousands of people each year in seven ministries: Marisol Services, Early Childhood Education, Shelter Services, Catholic Charities Housing, St. Raphael Counseling, Family, Kinship, and Senior Services; and Parish & Community Engagement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Regional Operations Director at Catholic Charities:

  • Provides leadership to shelter operations staff in administering the Agency’s mission, ministries and policies, consistent with Catholic Charities’ mission and values and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Oversees all aspects of regional shelter operations. 
  • Develops, recommends and oversees implementation of program policies, procedures and objectives to support our mission.
  • Prepares and administers area budget within established guidelines. 
  • Maintains accurate and timely program statistical data to meet reporting requirements. Enters data and generates reports. Monitors associated program measurements and recommended program improvements
  • Ensures accurate and complete client records are maintained
  • Ensures that programs and services are in compliance with licensing, accreditation, state and federal standards and other appropriate regulatory or professional requirements.
  • Works with the local system of care toward the design, implementation and evaluation of a model of care that is collaborative and strengths-based.
  • Maintains professional ties with other service organizations/boards/committees for the benefit of the program.
  • Completes necessary administrative duties (paperwork, etc.) timely and accurately. 

Qualifications


  • Demonstrated effective management, supervisory and administrative skills.
  • Ability to understand and convey to others the values and social teachings of the Catholic Church as they relate to the mission and work of Catholic Charities.
  • Skills in community work, problem-solving, goal-setting, evaluation and team-building.
  • Intermediate skill on Microsoft Office and database management
  • Ability to compile and interpret statistical information.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Agency values.
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree or equivalent from accredited university; and four to six years of demonstrated related program management and supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MINISTERIAL REQUIREMENTS

Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and/or intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043). Refrain from public promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid CO driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Salary: $85,000- $95,000/annualized salary. Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.
