PURPOSE OF POSITION
Reporting to the Vice President Marketing & Community Engagement, this position is responsible for supporting ecumenical and volunteer outreach for the benefit of Catholic Charities. The ideal candidate: builds and develops relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders across Catholic Charities, the ecumenical community, with community partners and supports volunteer management and growth within the agency.
This position requires someone who is a servant leader, is mission-focused and has a can-do spirit. The most successful candidate will be someone whose initiative is off the charts, has a heart for teamwork and exudes compassion when dealing with our participants, volunteers and staff. The Volunteer Outreach Specialist will work hand in hand with the Manager of Volunteer Coordinators and is a front-facing, community-oriented and task-oriented team player who is highly respected by leaders across the community, builds and grows connections in the ecumenical community; organizes and leads drives like the Women’s Care Project and Adopt-A-Family; and has great interest in and capacity to take on new challenges and projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Salary:$23.00 per hour. 40 hours per week
Training:We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career.
