EXHIBITION COOK

POSITION SUMMARY

Catch-a-Fire Pizza is now hiring a full-time Exhibition Cook. We are seeking a passionate culinary professional to work with our Chef and Back of House team to prepare wood-fired food and other featured items from our creative, artisan menu.

Part time hours are also available. This position will require working nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Passion for food
  • No previous experience necessary - We will train you!

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 years of kitchen experience & strong culinary skills
  • Wood-fired cooking experience
  • Excellent knife skills
  • ServSafe Manager Certification

Requirements

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work with professionalism with all team members and guests at all times
  • Adept in following directions & adhering to procedures with quality, consistency & speed
  • Completing guest orders accurately and within service goals
  • Working clean and professionally at all times in our exhibition kitchen
  • Being extremely knowledgeable about our menu
  • Following proper food safety procedures
  • Must be able to thrive and excel in a fast-paced environment and consistently uphold very high standard
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude at all times and demonstrate teamwork
  • Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Be a Brand Ambassador! Promote Catch-a-Fire’s goals and company culture; follow company policies & procedures
  • Able to successfully collaborate and communicate with all team members
  • Able to thoroughly understand all menu items and be able to execute with quality, consistency & speed
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh and menu items are prepared to specs
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • Properly cook and handle various food items (including meat, seafood, dairy and vegetables) using a variety of cooking methods
  • Operate one or more of the following stations : Wood-fired Oven, Toss, Pizza Make, Cold Side, Hot Side
  • Successfully open and close your workstation using proper procedures and guidelines
  • Communicating with other team members to coordinate orders and maintain efficient speed of service
  • Assisting in keeping food storage areas organized and sanitized
  • Assisting in keeping food items rotated and labeled
  • Clean dishes, wash cooking utensils and cookware as needed
  • Taking out trash / recycling / compost as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workspace at all times
  • Focus on quality control and speed of service so the restaurant can operate efficiently and successfully

Since then, our truck served all over Cincinnati and beyond, growing into of the areas premier food trucks, as well as a desired and reputable caterer, capable of serving unique, wood-fired cuisine, cooked on-site! Just two years after hitting the streets with our food truck, we opened our first brick and mortar location inside the taproom of MadTree Brewing Company. Pairing our love for craft food and craft beer, Catch-a-Fire Caf was introduced in February of 2015, boasting an expanded menu of beer inspired, wood-fired cuisine. In addition to our repertoire of pizzas, we have an extensive catering menu and can customize it to fit any creative vision. Catering is available from our caf for parties large or small in either of MadTrees two spacious event rooms. Our newest restaurant opened June of 2020 at 9290 Kenwood Road, in Blue Ash, Ohio. The Blue Ash location features an expansive bar, outdoor lounge & patio seating as well as a Bottle Shop with a thoughtfully curated selection of unique wines and craft beers.
