Overview:

Desktop Support Specialist (Part-Time) - seeking 2 people

Location: Dallas, TX 

Are you an extraordinary Desktop Support Specialist with work experience in Windows and MAC environments looking to take your career to the next level by doing what you already do best (Desktop Support)? We have an opportunity for two part-time desktop support candidates with exceptional communication skills who is eager to learn and grow with our organization!

How you will make an impact:

Desktop Support Activities:

  • Support for our Mac OS and Windows operating and desktop environments, resolving at least 85% of the incoming tickets within 24 hours of receipt. A majority of the support requests come from our team about: Office 365, connectivity and printers.
  • Provide a top notch user experience using our IT service desk policies, procedures, and help desk methodologies in areas such as basic problem resolution and escalation practices.
  • Thrive on documentation and attention to detail, exhibited in the way you handle tickets.

What you need to be successful:

  • 1-2 years supporting desktop hardware and software requests in a company with onsite and remote employees.
  • 1 years work experience supporting Windows environment users with significant capability troubleshooting MS Office products (we are on Office 365), printers, scanners, badge readers, coffee makers (just kidding...we have a company that helps with the coffee makers - but you catch our drift, if it is broken and is electronic, our users will probably ask for your help). Our IT team is amazing, resourceful and greatly appreciated for lending a hand even when it comes to assisting with machines that don't plug in to the network!
  • 1 year(s) experience supporting Apple MacOS and Apple end user devices.
  • Meticulous documentation of incident and service request tickets, ensuring incoming tickets and reported issues are accurately identified, categorized, prioritized, diagnosed, and resolved.
  • Resourcefulness to seek to understand and an interest in learning what you don't know, yet!
  • We have the following tools (relevant experience will certainly be considered):
    • Office 365
    • Salesforce
    • JIRA
    • ZenDesk
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to travel a couple of times per quarter, if needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to commit to consistently working Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 1:00pm OR 12:30pm - 5:30pm with the possibility of working additional days or hours as projects become avaialble.
