We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join the firm as the Director of IT. This person will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the firm's technology infrastructure, including telephony and phone systems, and for ensuring the efficient operation of the help desk, as well as providing help desk support. The successful candidate will collaborate with the leadership team to drive innovation, improve productivity, and optimize technology resources to support business objectives. This person will be the primary liaison between CastleOak employees and our Managed Service Provider but will also handle technology-related projects internally as our businesses and teams continue to grow. Responsibilities

  • Lead technology efforts drawing upon extensive knowledge of information technology/infrastructure, application development, security, and compliance.
  • Lead and facilitate all IT projects
  • Provide technical support for all of the firm's computer systems, ensuring proper operation of IT equipment and troubleshooting hardware or software issues.
  • Ensure IT systems and controls comply with corporate policies and procedures, including maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, backup policies, and other corporate IT standards.
  • Conduct audits, system maintenance, and security reviews.
  • Lead and collaborate with the managed service provider team where applicable to achieve success.
  • Develop and implement the firm's overall technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Manage the IT budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions, including telephony and phone systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software applications to improve business operations and efficiency.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of IT policies and procedures.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement of technology resources.
  • Provide help desk support, including troubleshooting technical issues related to telephony and phone systems, answering user questions, and resolving problems in a timely manner, especially during trading hours.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for help desk operations, including incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Ensure help desk services are aligned with business objectives and meet the firm's expectations.
  • Monitor help desk performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to monitor regulatory changes that impact IT and lead the communication, implementation, and monitoring of these requirements.
  • Oversee periodic IT compliance assessments of key compliance risk areas.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles
  • Strong knowledge of information technology infrastructure, architecture, and systems, including telephony and phone systems.
  • Strong sense of urgency and bias for action
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Experience providing help desk support, including troubleshooting technical issues related to telephony and phone systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
  • Knowledge of financial services
  • 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, including as a Director of IT or equivalent
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution, project management, and process improvement
  • Desire/ability to make improvements on existing processes

Salary: $140,000-160,000

Eligible for end of year discretionary bonus

Location: New York, NY
