Position Summary:

Castle Contracting, Inc, is seeking a talented Civil Design Manager to join our growing Civil Design-Build team. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking civil engineering manager to support the work Castle Contracting is doing to revolutionize civil design and construction through design-build. The design manager will manage some of the most exciting and interesting site development projects in the region. The design manager will have the opportunity to work closely with construction partners and clients to deliver better civil construction projects. The team works collaboratively to identify challenges and risks earlier in the design process and with construction partners to find solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Performing and coordinating engineering design to produce design drawings using Civil 3D
• Use stormwater modeling software to design detention basins, and storm sewer systems
• Leverage knowledge of local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to inform design requirements
• Complete Applications and Submittals to AHJs
• Maintain project schedule, deliverables and budgets
• Collaborate with construction and preconstruction teams
• Collaborate with the client, designers and consultants
• Manage the client / client experience
• Effectively communicate design support needs and timelines

Qualifications:

• Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT (preferred but not required)
• 5 years of experience in Civil Site Design
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• AutoTurn software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Works well in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Process-oriented
