Castiglia's Italian Restaurant, situated in the historic downtown area of Fredericksburg, is seeking enthusiastic individuals interested in joining a vibrant team in a fantastic setting with exceptional food and drinks, as well as opportunities for personal development.

We are currently hiring for experienced Bartenders to work at our Main Bar or Roof Top.

Core Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet every guest as they approach the bar
• Take beverage orders from guests or wait staff and serving drinks as requested
• The ability to safely, carefully and properly make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Prepare and serve a selection of beer, wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and standards.
• Deliver exceptional, personalized service to every guest
• Prep, stock and maintain workstation according to company specifications (Slice, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks)
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events
• Be able to educate guests on the beverages you are serving at each event
• Process cash and credit card payments accurately and efficiency
• Work harmoniously and professionally with the whole Castiglia's team
• Always serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and never over serve guest

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• 2 years of experience working as a bartender
• Basic knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes
• Alcohol certification and Serve Safe a plus!
• Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift 20-pound boxes and stand for an 8-hour shift
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts – Friday, Saturday, Sunday is a must.
