Description

The Charcutier Assistant (kitchen helper) will serve an essential role in our kitchen assisting our culinary team with charcuterie preparation. We are searching for a friendly, energetic, motivated individual who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Essential Functions

• Prepare various cheeses, cured meats, olives, nuts, dried fruits, crackers and/or breadsticks for plating for our wine club members, as well as assemble charcuterie boxes for daily visitors.
• Use a commercial grade meat slicer.
• Use a variety of knives.
• Ensure all food safety policies and procedures are being followed.

Requirements

•  Current Food Handler Certification Card or ability to immediately obtain.
• Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Be able to work quickly in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Dependable, with excellent attendance and work ethic. 
• Must have reliable transportation.

Things that will set you apart

• Prior experience working within the food industry, or charcuterie.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, although not required.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position. We offer flexible hours. $22 - $24 per hour.
